Clarity. Structure. Real inner work.

That’s what changed my life — and what I now help ambitious people bring into their next chapter.

Hi I'm Lauren Wong (any pronouns)

I didn’t set out to become a coach. I started as the person who followed every traditional “right path”: UCLA Anderson MBA, Fortune 500 strategy and media roles, leadership positions, certifications, volunteering, the whole thing. On paper, everything looked perfect. In reality, I was moving fast but not deeper.

Then COVID forced a pause. For the first time, I had space to hear myself think and question the life I'd been building. Choosing to leave the U.S. (very much against my immigrant parents’ wishes) and spending 3 years digital nomading across the world —including a particularly meaningful chapter in Taiwan, pushed me toward the truth:

My real strength isn’t just achieving goals. It’s helping other people move toward theirs — with clarity, intention, and courage.

And nowhere is that more true than in the MBA admissions journey and beyond.

I know that journey firsthand:
the uncertainty, the identity questions, the “am I MBA material?” spiral, the fear of getting it wrong, the pressure to articulate a story that makes sense. I navigated all of it with a non-traditional background and no guidance — and that experience shapes how I coach today.

I’m built for clarity. For breaking down complexity. For helping people understand themselves and communicate their value with precision. For the kind of grounded honesty that moves you forward — whether you’re applying to business school, rethinking your career, or stepping into a new version of yourself.

As a coach, I go far beyond “feel-good” motivation. My work is structured, strategic, emotionally intelligent, and centered on uncovering what’s real — not what you wish were true, and not what sounds good on paper.

My approach blends:

  • MBA admissions & career strategy (storytelling, positioning, essays, interviews, professional narrative)

  • Behavioral psychology and coaching methodology

  • Life clarity and identity work (because strong applications — and careers — start with self-understanding)

  • Cross-cultural perspective and global experience

  • Lived experience — including navigating mental health diagnoses, rebuilding self-trust, and reinventing my life with intention

I work best with high-achieving people at an inflection point — whether that’s preparing for an MBA, pivoting careers, or seeking a more aligned and intentional direction.

And the results speak for themselves:
my clients — across industries and continents — have earned admits and scholarships to top global MBA programs and unlocked clearer, more fulfilling career paths, often after feeling uncertain or underestimated.

Why Work With Me?

1. I blend admissions strategy with real inner work — not just essay editing.

Most admissions coaches focus only on polishing applications. I help you understand yourself first — your values, motivations, patterns, strengths, and blind spots. When you get clear on who you are, writing powerful essays becomes easy.

This is why my clients not only get admitted — they grow.

3. I’m not here to flatter you — I’m here to make you better.

Clients choose me because I’m direct, honest, and deeply invested in your growth. I will challenge you. I will ask the questions you avoid.

I will push you past the surface-level story so you can articulate an authentic version of yourself that’s compelling, true, and unforgettable.

5. I bring a global lens that enriches your storytelling.

I’ve lived across continents, coached clients from the U.S., Asia, and Latin America, and worked in cross-cultural environments my entire life.

I help you articulate your background in a way that resonates with admissions committees who increasingly value international and intersectional perspectives.

2. I’ve lived the nontraditional, international, identity-layered journey myself.

I’ve navigated the “Am I MBA material?” doubts. I’ve made a major career pivot. I’ve balanced cultural expectations, imposter syndrome, and the pressure to ‘do everything right.’ I know what it feels like to fight for your next chapter — and to create it anyway.

That lived experience is part of the strategy I bring to you.

4. Structure and clarity is my superpower.

If you’re overwhelmed, scattered, or overthinking (most applicants are), I bring clarity and order without killing your personality. You’ll never wonder “What do I do next?” again.

Because I break down complex goals into simple steps.

6. You get a coach who genuinely cares.

Not the “rah-rah motivational” care — the grounded, thoughtful kind.
The kind that listens to you and keeps you responsible and supported.

The kind that holds your goals as tightly as you do, as if they were my own, so that we achieve them together

The Result? My clients reach their goals.

Admits to top global MBA programs. Scholarships. Career shifts. Personal breakthroughs.
A clearer sense of who they are — and where they’re going.
